Original Contemporary & Traditional Electric Folk Rock!

Do you enjoy the music of Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull, Steeleye Span or Richard Thompson?
We do! Influenced by these artists, yet sounding entirely like ourselves, we are:

[Uncle Dirtytoes!]

"Sitting down to enjoy the music of Uncle Dirtytoes is a real treat!
It has all the inspiration, nuances and optimism that remind me of why I got into writing and performing music myself, so many years ago.
Long live real music!"
- Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull.

Performance: KC Scottish Highland Games!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• June 12 in KC: Uncle Dirtytoes will serenade the throwing of hammers and the tossing of cabers (or is it capers? That seems much more sensible!) on Saturday afternoon, 2pm on June 12 at the Kansas City Scottish Highland Games in North Kansas City (in Riverside, MO, next to Argosy Casino). We will be joined by our Marianne Payette Carter on violin and vocals for this gig. It should be something special, so ya'll come out and hear!

UPDATED with our newest members (er, yeah, so they've been around for a couple years now, but now you can know what they would take with them to a . . . ) Desert Island Picks! Check out just what albums the 'Toes would take with them if they went on a three-hour tour with a skipper named Jonas Grumby and a man named Gilligan as first officer.

Other Events~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The 18th Annual Harvest of Arts Film Festival took place on Friday, Oct. 2nd at The Granada, in downtown Lawrence, KS. This cherished annual event (by some of us!) was a feast of all sorts of short films by all sorts of short film makers of all sizes! A splendid time was had by all (that I talked to, anyway)! Visit the festival web site for more info.
